Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace

     What do you get when you cross lightsabers with blasters?  a great movie called Star Wars.  What do you get when you cross blasters, lightsabers, a stupid gungan, and democracy?  The worlds biggest let down.  I grew up watching Star Wars.  I grew to lobe all the things the star wars universe had to offer.  Then, George Lucas created the Phantom Menace.  When I saw this, I nearly crapped my pants.  Well, Maybe not, but I didn't like what I saw one bit.  I tell ya, if it weren't for Darth Maul, this movie would have been a complete waste.
     The Music. It was ok.  I liked the fact that it reminded me of star wars.  At least the music was ok.  Duel of the fates was a great match with the lightsaber duel.  I wish they had something like that during the original trilogy.
     The toy line was great.  I have always been a collector of Star Wars 3 3/4" figures.  Now all I need is that Naboo Fighter Pilot!  Well, I uh.. Accidently ate some of the Jabba Glob..  Tasted salty..Kind of..
     They say that Episode 2 will be more like the original trilogy.  Hope so.  I don't know if I can sit through another Phantom Menace.
 
I give it a 3 out of 5.  Yeah, all the computer generated stuff ruined it.  With a little help from Amidala and Jar Jar.  Geeeez!
