Luigi's Mansion
By: Gold Deity
Ok, first of all, Luigi gets a strange letter saying that he won a giant mansion. The strange thing about it is that Luigi didn't enter the contest! He had never even heard of it! Mario gets suspicious and he goes to check it out. Luigi goes a little bit later. He can't find Mario but he finds a weird little old man who is trying to catch some ghosts with a vacuum cleaner called the Poltergust 3000. Luigi watches him try to catch a ghost and sees that the old man can't catch them (due to one of those spine problems I guess). The 2 of them go to the man's laboratory. The old man reveals his name to be Professor E. Gadd. He says that when he was a young man he found a way to turn ghosts into paintings or something. Then he found the mansion and decided to use it to store all his paintings. But one day the ghosts found a way to break free and he has been trying to capture them with his Poltergust ever since then. The Professor says that recently a guy with red clothes, much like Luigi's, came to the Mansion. He never saw this person again. Luigi knew that it was Mario. The Professor gives Luigi the Poltergust and tells him that the only way to find Mario is to capture the ghosts. The Professor teaches him to use the ghost-catching vacuum cleaner, and Luigi begins his journey!!
This game has many secrets and hidden passages to discover, so try and find everything. Games are usually a lot more fun when you know that you left no stone unturned, and in my opinion, Luigi's Mansion is no exception!! You'll have fun with this one!! Another cool thing about the Poltergust, besides being able to suck up ghosts, it can shoot fire and ice! These are used to stun certain enemies. For instance if you are capturing a fire ghost, then use the ice blower to stun it and then capture it. But you have to find something to earn the capability to use fire and ice blowers. Also, instead of just coins, you actually get dollar bills! There really isn't a point in writing about this but it's just a bit interesting…
One other thing that I'd like to say is that I'm sooooooooo glad that Luigi finally got a game about him and NOT Mario!!! I am sick of Mario this and Mario that, and Luigi probably is, too!! Luigi finally got the game that he deserves!!
Strategy: Heck yeah! You have to have strategies for catching ghosts, don't you?
