Star Fox 64
"Your carcass is mine!!"
By: Zelda

Imagine what Star Wars: Rogue Squadron with animals and easier controls is like.  That would be the strange, twisted, yet somehow amazingly lovely Star Fox 64 came to be.  (Miyamoto actually was planning to make a different Star Fox sequal, but he canned it in favor for the N64)
The plot is this:  You're Fox McCloud, okay?  You lead a band of animals around.  (An annoying frog, an old-fart rabbit, and a blue bird with an ego the size of Alaska)  Your father "met a terrible fate" by the hands of Andross.  (An over-sized monkey with only a head and two hands)  So now you're out for revenge in your little blue-white thingy called an Arwing.  (Which kinda sounds like another Star Wars ship)  And you get paid for doing it too.  (Sweet!!)
Now, everyone who likes a driving game will defantitly take a liking to Star Fox 64 one way or another.  The controls are simple, the music is almost like John Willams composed it, and the plot runs thick throughout the entire game, never losing a beat.  So what's the down-side?  Two words: Slippy Toad.
Past that, you get to drive 3 veichles:  Your standerd Arwing, a rocken' tank called the Landmaster, and this submarine that was slapped together in under two minutes.  The standerd weapons are bombs, upgradable lasers, and you get a really nice boost and brake.  Just in case if Slippy whines, "Can I go to the bathroom??"
The bosses are unique in their own ways, and they surprisingly are voiced differently, not something you see or hear always.  Perhaps the best bosses to mention is the enemy's team, Star Wolf.  (Some of their members have just as bad as issues as Slippy)
All things said and done, Star Fox 64 is a must-have for all drivers.  Anyone who's looking for a RPG had just better wait until Star Fox Adventures is released by Rare.  Just make sure that you take the necessary precautions by covering your ears every time Slippy talks.
